Man... lowering bolts are not even close to riden 2-up. Yes i ran bolts for about a year and it was b-b-b-bumpy. Mine was lowered about 2"/1" of WW showing, and when i would hit a bump my a$$ went flyen off the seat. I had those things adjusted many ways too. Atleast when you ride 2-up you have a little suspension. IMO totally two different beasts.... Oh yea forget about riden 2-up while bolts are installed. I did and my ex-OL a$$ went ski high when i hit big bumps... Its definately a gamble.....lol

If you do install those bolts i HIGHLY recommend you spanner tighten those shocks up all the way. It will give you the best ride possible with the bolts installed.

But for real YES.. if i was short of $$$ for a Shotgun Shock... I would and did install bolts.. Looks to me was better than ride while my wallet was light of $$$. Now i have the Shotgun installed and im diggen it!

I never ran lowering bolts on my ride, but I am the guy who does things three or four times before I find the solution. I guess I am a guinea pig. I could not do lowering bolts, that is just me as I like a plush ride. Shotgun Shock is not $1700 by the way. I sell it for much less. I had to hit a point with the bike where I finally decided I was going to do everything I had ever wanted. It took me years to get there, but it is coming along.

I don't mid spending good money for good products for my bike. 3rd air ride, 6th set of exhaust, etc. I am probably about halfway there.

So I would need a lift to adjust them?

Trying to figure out, so when I do ride 2up I want to be able to adjust all the way back up pretty easily.

Yes you will need a lift to adjust them.

Let me see if I can find a two up pick of mine.

If you slam your bike 2", I'd suggest our red shock springs....they progressively stiffen the ride so you wont bottom out as much. Its a pretty inexpensive product that gets results. http://www.lachoppers.com/catalog/di...199/index.html check em out, I'm sure there is a review on here somewhere if ya search. Dr. Vtwin can ship them to your door.

With so many air suspension choices out now, it makes it difficult to decide who is best and under what conditions.

shotgun shock is the best air ride system out. also a lot of systems hold pressure on the lines, so if one were to burst ur bike goes to slammed position until fixed. With the shotgun it does not and if u were to blow a line or something, it holds the air in the chamber, which will hold ur bike at the hieght set before problem.

Just go for it man... The burn out kit ain't that much and YOU DON"T need to have the shocks pressed for that kit... It is a bolt on kit!!! I used to have the cheap bolt on kit that everyones talking about and it's a little rough. Now I'm running 413's from progressive and my ride is slammed down 4"s plus on the back and resting on the snubber... I never adjust it if my OL wants to ride she gotta be able to handle it... and thats, that. She knows you gotta sacrifice comfort for style.

BTW... I also have 4"s down up front...

4" ? Story, that is insane , I have the 'bolt' cheap solution for 1.5" lowering and I would say , yes, it is pumpy, but I have a 'plush' lepera seat that for 2 up is OK, for solo I ride the spring seat so I it does not bother me.

this is a photo of the 2 up setup
