Default Led Lights

I have a 2004 fatboy and installed led's on my turn signals and tail light. Sunday I wanted to complete the transformation with my rear turn signals and found once the new bulbs were installed one of them did not work.replace them again with the conventional bulbs and both were working again. Is there some type of module that I should be using so that they all work? Also found that the turn signals flash faster with the Led's.

The LED's use less voltage than a regular bulb. They are flashing fast because with the voltage drop your bike thinks a bulb is burned out. You will need to get a load equalizer for each pair of signals for them to flash normaly.

I know they use less voltage but believe it or not the rear conventionals keep burning out and why when I installed the rear led's did one not work? It is becoming a mystery.

Some LED inserts already come with the load equalizer builted in the socket. But most of them do not. You have to purchase it separately. If you don't put one on, the turn signal won't work propperly.

Regards.

Is this something you can buy from the dealer?

The biggest catalog online for this is from Kuryakyn they sell LED conversion kits and you can order also load equalizers separately, I think like $19.95 each (for 1 pair of LED units)

I don't know about HD selling them separately.

Regards.

I recommend the Biketronics Smart Equalizer. They don't get hot like other load equalizers. They still allow you to use your 4-way flashers. And only one plug-n-play module is needed for the whole bike. No need to add more if you run more LED lights. And they have a lifetime warranty.

Looks like the smart equalizer is the way to go it even has a model that has provisions for bikes with H/D alarm systems.
Thanks for all of the help.
