I'm very new to HD's. Getting ready to pick up my first one this week & I'm already thinking of all the things I want to get for it. It's a 2008 Night Train & I want the whole blacked out theme. I hate cleaning chrome.
I'm 6'4" & was wondering if the stock forward controls are going to be too short for my height. If so what are my options to help? The bike has some chrome V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes but I would like them to be black. What is the best way to get them black?
Saw a bike with black shields over chromed pipes. Owner liked it, but imo I thought there was way to much chrome showing underneath the shields. He said he had painted his chrome shields black.
Ride it first and see if you like the feel. If you need to stretch out, the Arlen Ness +3 is a nice and reasonable way to go and comes with everything needed. There are also pegs that swing out, like Kuryakyn, if more stretch is wanted.
Been looking at some other exhaust pipes like Paul Yaffe Crack Pipes. Also saw some nice looking pipes called El Loco & Fuelies from Exotic Choppers. Any one have experience with ant of these pipes or heard the way they sound?
Ran Fuelies on my Train for awhile. Small loss in power on the lower end but gained a little in the mid and upper range. Problem was the pipes hit my leg every time I had to put my foot down. Caught my pants on fire once.
