Default Stupid question

04 FXST

Can I run Lucas 20w-50 full synthetic in the engine , primary, and trans .

I want to keep it all the same if i can .

Also double check me if you will .. is this correct ...
3.5 quarts for engine and filter
24 oz for trans
and primary I haven't found that yet , so if you know the amount I would greatly appreciate it .

Primary is 24-26 oz I believe. The engine will only need three quarts at the very max as 3.5 is for a dry engine. I always add two quarts to the engine, let it run for a minute, check the level and go from there.

20-50 ok for the engine
Tranny 85-140 gear oil
Primary up to you but do not use motor oil..it has additives and your clutch will slip..

I run Amsoil 20w-50 in all three holes. I ride pretty hard and have been very happy with Amsoil!
