Heritage Springers or Springer Classics would be the ticket....big tire & big fender.

Keep in mind, there is only one flavor of brake caliper for a springer....and it won't do stoppies. If that is gonna be a problem you need to know before you plunk down the cash.

If I can put a springer front and a fatboy rear fender on a 84 Lowrider....you can do most anything you want.

I've been pondering switching to a Fatboy Lo front end. All cushy and blacked out, mmmmmmmm.

Did this project ever materialize? I have been thinking I might like a Springer on my FatBoy. I have questions about total cost with brakes and bars and if the original tire fit.... Wondering if it would be a good project or if I shouldnt waste my time.

imho your are going to spend a ton of money and gain little or even take away from your ride and handling. I am all about "to each thier own" but thats a big sticker item(if it's done right) on a scooter that was built for something else then what you want to do. Sell your's to get what you want or trade up? Thats a thought!

Thanks for the opinion, the only issue is I will be in Europe for the next couple of years and their prices are much higher. I figure if I take it slow over a couple months next winter I could build a nice new front end. I bought my bike used from a guy I know back home, and would really like to take it in a new direction from where he had it. It is a beautiful bike currently, but I want to make it my own.... I dunno. I have a few months before I will be riding and may fall in love with what I have all over again when I get to see it and enjoy the ride....

When I was at the dealer they called my bike a "fat boy springer" and I know that the frame is the same between both bikes. An HD springer would be a direct bolt on for your frame, but you'd be dealing with brakes and headlight still.
