Sounds like you made your choice...33's area a great length, I loved mine...but I got a great deal on my Cholo's and picked them up, otherwise i'd still happily be running my 33's.
It's a little late, but here is a photo of the old school Samson 33's...not a very good photo but you can sort of get an idea of the length.
