Picked up a new sundowner seat for my 06 FXSTI,seems like the seat has a lot of play when I am not on it.Front can be pulled a little even though it is under the frame and the back does'nt seem very tight using the mounting screw that came with the seat.Any input would be aprreciated. Thanks for any help
mine was the same mate
i put the sundowner on the 06 night train and was very annoyed with the fit at the front
same as you i could push it up and down alot when not on it and it seemed to sit a lot higher off the tank than it should have
dont really know what can be done about it though i ended up taping a thick washer on the front lug to hold seat down a bit more
i since got it altered at a motor trimmer though
Its a great seat, very comfortable for longer trips. Fantastic lower back support! The price is very reasonable for a Harley item. Mine is on a Deluxe.
Sharp looking bike Blaze. Thanks for the idea.I will try it out and see if it helps.Wife and I plan on taking a trip to Australia next year .How is the riding down there?Seems like it would be incredible .
well a motor trimmer is the name given down under to the guy who fits and alters the trimming on motor vechicles
ie. refits cars with leather etc.
apparently the guy who modded my seat also made a seat out of kangaroo hide for jay lennos {that guy over there who has a late night show lol we dont get him here} jet bike ...
and lol a free add for him
