Default Fatboy Lo Forward Controls

Are there any options beyond MoCo and Kury?

any thoughts/opinions?

I have a 34" inseam, and am tired of leg cramps, and scraping every damn time I turn .

I'm in the same boat. I've got a 34" inseam also, and my legs cramp up every now and then. Although I REALLY like the comfort of the vibration isolation of the floorboards. I'm torn between replacing them or keeping them for comfort. Since I don't go on, or plan on going on any long trips, I might just replace them so I can stretch out some.

Josh,

ditto on the floorboards. I like the idea of going on long trips.. but even if I get to do them.. around town riding is going to be 80% of my seat-time.

I wonder how much the vibration-dampening really matters on the new softails anyway??

I'm keeping the floorboards......at least I am pretty sure of that.

Scraping is a good indication of your lean limits....like a warning indicator.

I am going to look into an engine guard with some highway pegs for stretching out on longer rides.

put an engine guard on the bike and some highway pegs and you'll get the best of both worlds! You can put the pegs out as far as you want and stretch out.

I'm 6'3" with a 34" inseam and have 3" extended forward controls on my Fatboy. Definitely more comfy than floorboards. I'll scrape my heels now first in turns (or my pipes if I have the rear lowered a lot). I "think" they are Kuryakyn (sp?) extended mounts, but I bought them about 9 years ago, so I don't remember for sure.

I think I'm going to wait and see how it does in the mountains, when I move back to TN next year. That will determine if I keep the boards or not.

you went 3" extensions also? I was thinking about that also... I am going to put the FX forwards on first, and see how that goes.

I had been leaning this way, but highway pegs will only get my legs up, when at cruising speed (after I am done shifting etc...) I think I want my legs out all the time.

lol, with the changes I am doing to my fatty (drag bars, forward controls), I am starting to wonder if I shouldn't have bought the train

black engine gaurd and some highway pegs fixed that problem for me, whereas I like the floorboards also.
