you went 3" extensions also? I was thinking about that also... I am going to put the FX forwards on first, and see how that goes.
never thought about scrapping my heels.. lol.. that sounds a little crazy
Yeah, the 3" extension puts them in a nice spot. Dragging the heel isnt a big deal, it just wears your shoes out in an odd way. Once in a while, if you start dragging them too long, the rubber heats up enough and will suddenly gain traction, which sweeps your foot off the peg. It's only happened a few times and isnt a big deal, but was very surprising the first time! But that only seems to happen if i'm wearing my workboots and let them rather than flexing my heel up.
put an engine guard on the bike and some highway pegs and you'll get the best of both worlds! You can put the pegs out as far as you want and stretch out.
I love the look of the forward controls, however fat boys have always had boards, kinda been one of their distinguishing features......I installed some performance machine boards to dress up the stockers a bit......
I have a 2012 Fatboy Lo and want to keep the standard running boards but would like to move them forward and or up whats my options from every ones previous experience ? TIA
