So I had a 5 degree accutronix tree on my wide glide. The worst thing I ever did too it, never rode the same after that it had this little kind of wobble. I was wondering how a 3 degree tree was. I want this tree for my train, but I don't want to sacrifice the handling at all. I can get the zero tree and as of now I'm probably going to but need to hear from anyone with a 3 degree to help make a decision. Any help thanks in advance.
I will let you know after I get mine back together. I'm trying to find a shop that will rent me some tools. I hate to buy $150.00 in tools for the bearings and races for one job. Didn't really have that in my budget.
raked cups for the neck bearings would be a better idea
That's what I did. ALTHOUGH... since NTs come stock with +2 degree trees, the Accutonix would only bump it out an additional 1 degree. I'd say go with whichever one you can get the better deal on (keeping in mind what Ash said about the tools needed for the cup job).

HMMM I didn't know they come with a +2* tree...... See that's why I love this forum always learning stuff about my bike.
For the raked cups, i'm not doing it for the extra rake. I like the accutronix tree it looks sweet that's all i'm in it for.
So the 1* diff won't make a difference?
I'm not good at trigonometry, but there will be a slight lowering of the front end. Whether it will be noticeable, I don't know. Maybe you can find a trig calculator online to see what the height difference would be going from 36 to 37 degrees? I haven't checked.
I'm curious about this as well, does it affect slow speed handling/high speed handling, and is the change for better or worse? subscribing
Hey Ash, are you going with the inverted forks or just a rake?
Just planned on doing the trees because I like the cleaner look of the pro ones, they're black already, and I like more rake. At this point who knows though. I'm waiting on a fork stop and I started an unplanned coil relocate this afternoon.
