Looking at the Lepera website for the Bare Bones Solo they show three different models for softails.
06-10 wide tire
84-10 standard tire
00-07 Deuce
The wide tire model seat pic shows the seat mounted to the rear fender.
The standard tire model pic shows the seat mounted to the sides of the frame. Even though the seat you have now mounts to the sides , are you sure your fender doesn't have a hole in the fender that lines up with the mounting bracket on your new seat? I think the side frame holes are common on the softails, you can use them or not depending on the type of seat you have?
I changed the way of mounting the seat. I think it is now the same as a Sportster. They made two pins under the seat and welded two cups on the frame. Advantage is, that you can always get by the fuse box. No estra hole in the fender is needed.
If you paid by credit card you can always dispute the charge and let them hash it out. i bought a Corbin seat when they first came out with one for the deluxe. what a mess it never fit right and they wanted to know nothing. i had purchased it threw a third party dealer. I disputed the charge got my money back. the seller got stuck with it corbin would not take it back they have a no refund policy they say they will fix it but try and get it done. This guy was one of there biggest dealers and they treated him like crap. if you cannot get them to fix it or send the correct version put it in dispute
your fender should have the hole already there from the factory, just take the little rubber piece out of the hole and put in a piece so u can screw in the seat bolt (they are cheep at the dealer)

I agree. Insert this into the hole and bolt the seat down.
Tell them to make things right!!!! PERIOD! Make you a new one and eat the cost of that one... I'm sure you paid by a credit card? File a dispute if they blow you off.
Send it back.. when we do customer seats if its our mistake we'll have to eat it... if you keep having problems with them send me your stocker and I'll make it into a barebones with gel for a lot less... lol
