by the way the quiet baffles had some warping around them. i had removed it for a Little more sound . sounds like you like them that way.
Yes, love the tone.
Have you ever thought about removing the tips?
Actually I desire the fishtail tips. I originally was interested in the Samson fishtail's, but the issue of baffles had me concerned. I knew V & H offered true duals w/ fishtail tips, and these became available for sale. Also, I've had V & H pipes before and their products are outstanding in terms of quality, fit and baffle selection
Sweet! I've got the V&H duals on my Heritage too but without the fishtials. Now, what would a set of wide white walls do to the look? I have mine, just not mounted yet.
Not a great side shot by any means but the white walls are killer on dark colored Hertages in my opinion. Here is one of mine.
OK, I've been thinking about the V&H Tru Duals for a while so here's a question for you guys: have you noticed more heat coming from the engine? If you have a thermometer type dipstick, how much hotter does it run, if at all?
The left side exhaust makes a pretty tight curl there behind the rear jug which seems to me would make the cooling fins less effective. Also, it looks like it would concentrate the heat a bit more on the horse shoe oil tank.
No difference in operating temperture or performance. Nothing but positive results from this install, especially the low rumble and deceleration tones.
