Im looking at putting V & H duals with fishtail tips on my 2010 deluxe. Im wondering who may have them and how do you like them? I currently have the longshots and was curious about the difference in power, if any, and sound. Thanks.
I got them ... they are great, nicely finished and great sound.
I run the silent baffles and have added a Smartpartz.com Hard Kore Baffle to tone it down a bit more.
Nice rumble on start up and cruising and great bark when cracking the throttle.
Lost some torque in the lower RPMs, the Hard Kore Baffles returned some of that, but when I get around to it I will do some V-Tunes to get the bike dialed in for the pipes. (I have a TTS Mastertune)
Well, I've had them on since last Winter. Rode this past riding season with them and while they sound and look great I think my engine build has suffered. I haven't had it tuned so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it.
I may actually put my HD 16 Gauge Double Barrels back on. My bike ran great with those.
I installed the Quiet Baffles and the bike ran much better but still a bit soft in the low end.
Not sure how they will perform on a stock engine but if you have motor work and want top performance than look into a 2 into 1 setup.
CPC8012 -- I'm up in Cortlandt Manor, not far from Hawthorne....
I have them on my 2010 Heritage with the quiet baffles, sound and fit and finish are great. I only did the HD stage 1 download and it runs good but is a bit hot in the summer. I am considering putting cams in and will get fuel management system at that time.
Love the sound on mine but not sure how that compares to others. Don't have the fishtails for me that look just doesn't work, but see lots of them around. Can't go wrong with V & H in my opinion
