Let's see if we can keep this one alive in the Softail section! Try to keep it softail related so it stands less of a chance at getting moved...Post up your creations and your favorite designs. I'll start with my two latest:
My unused SOFTAIL front fender. Still need to add some ivory...

Nice! i asked for a set of brushes for xmas from the wife. it was a last minute request so we'll see. i'm hoping to do something on crossbones. any tips? did you sketch it out first or just free hand it?
DarkTrak,
You are making me feel bad man. You down play your stuff a little, but I am no where near there yet....lol The stuff I have seen that you have posted has a pretty distinct style. It reminds me of the guy who did my first tattoo. He liked to use very thick lines. The coralation may not make sense to you, but it makes perfect sense in my head....
RNBONES: I have tons of tips. I try to apply them to
my own work everyday but It's easier said than done. What would you like to know in particular? And yes it's free hand for now until I get the Kafka Grid.
Santo: Thanks man. Ya, they are def. 50ft pieces lol
Brett: your too kind. And I totally get the reference, it makes sense. Everyone develops a style I guess.
Darktrak, your work is very nice. I am still not ready to post anything I have done yet as it looks like a child did it. maybe I'll have time to get some done this weekend and sharpen my skills.
Any guidance on brush size to start with? Are certain sizes easier to work with than others? I know a lot has to do with the size stripe your looking for.
Yeah, all depends on what your looking for. I use a heavily trimmed Mack 00 and a Kafka 0 scroller. A Mack 000 is a good starter. Not too full, able to make fine lines. Make sure you trim the stray hairs from the end of your new brushes too!
