Default Softail Security System

Looking to buy a HD factory alarm system for my wife,s 06 Heritage. In the parts book I see it takes the part number 68207-00D But i have found a system for sale with the number 68207-00C. The C suffix says it will fit up to 2004 and the D says 2006 Is there any real differance in the two models?

Yes the computers are different. Since the alarm is integrated into the ECM I would suggest you got the right one.

The alarm module is mated to the ecm if your buying used you might want to check if it can be mated to another computer. And yes buying the correct module for the year is very important if you want your bike to start.
