So I managed to finally find a pair on eBay and pulled the trigger. A little on the higher side of what I've been told was the going rate. Given that they aren't being made anymore I figured I might as well bite the bullet.
If anyone else is looking for a set of Hooker Fourbiddens this guy apparently has 2 sets of black ones left.
I got a set a while back from a guy that thought they were too loud for $250. To me there is no such thing as too loud. I had them powdercoated black (they were ceramic coated silver).
I went with a plain old round arlen ness cover which has now been powdercoated. Plus it looks great with my round oil tank
BTW.. Say goodby to your o2 sensors. There is no where to put them.
Amazing I bought my Hooker troublemakers last year when they were closing them out and got them for 275.00 delivered to my door. People must have bought up the old stock and are trying to make big dollars on them. Good luck on your project.
Very PRICEY!!! for Hookers.... Ok WAY TO PRICEY!!! A buddie of mine purchased a set of Hooker pipes for $150.00... Yes they were a different model than those but still.... Your $$$ your pipes.... $680.00 f*k NO!!!
And on the second question ... hyperchargers blow too... again... your $$$ your hypercharger... lol... Good Luck because your gonna need it... lol.
So much better add-ons out there... IMO.... Not tryen to be negative, just honest.
I found a few other places that were selling them online in the $350 range, but was encountering a few issues here and there with either getting them shipped to Canada, or finding out afterwards that they didn't really have them anymore. Either way, I got a pair, they were what I want, and I won't have to settle for something else. I suppose that alone is worth the added cost.
If your happy and that's what you wanted good on ya then. I bought them for my FXR project because they were on sale and the cheapest black exhaust I could find at the time. I got everything from the pipes, covers, mount and baffles so I considered it a good buy.
A man and his money..I wouldn't give 2 cents for them pipes...I guess a black thunder header was out of the question..Those pipes look like real horsepower robbers to me.

Yeah, $680 is probably a little steep for them, but considering that the supply of them is dwindling I couldn't really guarantee that if I missed on those I'd be able to come across another set at a lower price in any reasonable amount of time. I've been looking for a pair for over 2 months.
As for your comments on the hypercharger, there's negativity, and there's constructive criticism, I appreciate your opinion of the hyperchargers is less than glowing, but it probably would have come off as less negative if you had at least explained why you felt that way or offered up an alternate suggestion.
Like I said, I wasn't set on anything in particular at this point, and I've heard both good and bad about a number of different a/c's.
Wow looks like you can't post what you you think is cool on this message board without some A* hole knocking you. I personally think aot of bikes on this board a so freaking common I mean lets take a look at BLKnCHRME09Deluxe's bike. A deluxe with fishtails and a SE intake. Never seen anything like that.
Thunderheadder's work good but you have to want that long pipe look.
Hooker has made it's name making headders. I get complements all the time on mine, even had a couple offers. If your bike is properly tuned for your setup then it really doesn't matter what you have. If i was building a drag bike I might choose something else or build an exhaust. No I am going for style, and a different style than every other bike at the bar. Those pipes originally sold for $800+. If you got them 2 years ago for $680 everone would be telling you waht a great deal you got. I say "if you like it go for it." F*k the rest.
As a side note I also do not like the hypercharger. I have installed many of then and yes the work but they do not flow very well. The pro or the pro"r" are the only ones I would consider becase of the larger volume air chamber. If you want to keep that retro look check out an s&s teardrop or something simple like I did.
