I dropped off my Fatbob headlight bucket, the mount and the adapter mount I made to put this on my Night Train. The powder guy said he had to have the chrome removed. He took it to the local chromer and got it done and picked it up on Thursday, on Friday the chrome shop burned down. If he had waited one more day I would have had to buy a new bucket or possibly a new light until the insurance settled on the fire.
Anyway here's a few pics of a few mods so far, still waiting on the tank to get back from the painters. New headlight, dark custom primary and timing covers and new powder coated black bars.
Shop had the tank back and started to reassemble and the tech scratched up my new powder coated bars while installing the tach mount. They had to pull the bars off and pull the wires out and send them out to the coater's to be redone. Glad it's cold out or I would be really upset.
I had to call the service guy back (a friend) and ask him if he was joking with me, he was not a happy guy when he found the tech had tried to use touch up paint on the powder coat.
Huh... Good for you, but sad for the chrome shop... My PC guy on Island just takes the chrome pieces and and does the prep work whatever that may be? It makes it way easier then having to run around trying to get the chrome removed first. What kinda prices does he charge if he doesn't do prep work?
Can't wait to see the bike finshed and again glad you got or parts in time!
Haha... Thanks but I still have found my way... But I'm working on something... Soon... lol
Post up more pix after it's done a few of my friends were thinking about going with the whole fatbob frontend, cause of those thick fork tubes???
