I have searched ...so dont bring that up ..

Dumb question .. I have some Mobil 1 75-90 gear oil laying around I used in my diff's on my dodge ram . Can I use it in my trans on my bike ?

Should be fine. I've been using gear oil in my tranny the last 2 years with no problem

Ya , I didnt know if it had to be specifically made for a motorcycle . And like I said I have some new in the shop . I was going to run 75-140 but I dont know what the difference will be .

I just put in some bel ray 85-140 hopefully it quites down my tranny

The difference is that the 90 will be great for cooler weather, but I would go to 140 if you take long trips (ride all day for days) or during the summer heat.

Have been using Mobil 1 75w-140 for the past 3 years in the six-speed. No issues.
