I opted for the TTS Mastertune.. and its been awesome. I didnt like the idea of swapping out the entire ECU myself.
I went with the TTS Mastertune and a custom dyno tune. TTS was around $400 and the custom dyno tune was $300. They just use the TTS to program the ECM then take it off and you put it in your tool box.
Bike runs great after dyno tune and no need to wait for the ecm to autotune.
Never shifted into 6th to around 60-65 before, now I shift into 6th at 50.

I never got the dyno tune, I did the auto-tune. And It worked pretty well.. This spring I will get the bike up on the dyno, and hopfuy get a few other goodies on there at the same time.
Right now Iv only got the V&H Big Radius 2 into 2, and SE HB intake.
I have the thundermax on my rocker. MAKE SURE that whoever you order it through specifies that it is for a rocker!!! There is a separate procedure for jumping out the connector for the ecm so their programming cable will work with the rocker. The reason is the diagnostic port on the thundermax is impossible to get to once it is mounted in the bike. The normal big twin kits don't come with the necessary adapter. I love the ease of programming this thing. My autotune module took a dump early this year and I just got around to sending it back for warranty. (I hope). The tech dept. is awesome! Very helpfull. They even helped my bypass the autotune so I could ride it in the meantime.
I just wanted to add they replaced the autotune module, no questions asked, and also tested the ecm and o2's.

It definitely is easier with the proper Rocker version. But, I installed a touring version before the Rocker version was available. I just installed an extension comm cable and put the other end where it was accessible. Works like a charm.
Depends on the dealership my Thundermax autotune was installed and tuned by the dealer before the bike left the shop. I had the SE Heavy Breather and the Thunderheader and the Thundermax put on as soon as I bought the bike.
I just found this out this week. I have a stealer right around the corner from my work so it is very convenient, unfortunately they are all HD. No aftermarket at all. Not oil, not plugs, not seats, not nuttin. I went in asking about a shorter kickstand for the wifes XL1200 and they said you will have to go to the aftermarket. I asked if he had a preference and his reply was rude at best. "How would I know, we sell and install Harley Davidson Brand parts only. " WTF, I just don't get it. I went to the stealer by my home and not only do they sell the aftermarket stuff but they are fairly well verse in it as well. So much for getting parts at lunch time.

Yea, I had to do the same thing. Had mine installed at my local dealer who didn't install the cable. I'm not sure how they wrote the program to the ecm, must have been out of the bike is my guess? I didn't know about it until I had an issue. I knew before this to do my own work, but I had just bought the bike and figured since it was their idea that they knew what they were doing. This was in early '09 so it might not have been available at the time.
