Default Crossbones Air Cleaner

My friend just bought this air cleaner and installed it on his Crossbones it looks great the only problem is that on ebay it said it was aluminum but the neck is steel as a magnet sticks to it nicely so it has some weight to it, his question is the dumbell looking things in the picture hang down we are guessing for vibration he would like to remove these, does anyone know if this will hurt the bike or if the weight is to much for the throttle body? Thanks.

They are the crankcase breathers. Remove them at your own peril. You will either have oil seeping from places you don't want or you will end up with oiling issues due to the built up pressures and no venting.

Of course there are plenty of other vents you can use, but do use one.

But there are no holes in these or holes in the new bolts supplied with the kit so if they are vents am I going to have a problem with this kit?
