Here's a problem...
well, success. Thanks everyone for the kind words and the advice on the bike and the puppy.
I went ahead and got jack stands at Harbor Freight, but as I suspected, they wouldn't fit under the bike on the lift. So I just rolled the bike and lift over to the wheel chock, carefully lowered it into the chock and on to a couple of 2 X 4s under the rear wheel. Shocks just fell out, lift pulled out, problem solved. As usual I made it harder than it needs to be.
Puppy (Sophie, an AKC Malamute) has been getting better as of late with the crate training. Still having accidents but coming along. She is a beautiful dog and is already helping in the shop.
thanks again for all your help,
Jim

Standard shock on my bike will not drop out with it set for 200lb load. The SE shock which I run is apx 1" shorter will. To get the standard out without adjusting it in or fighting with it requires me to drop rear wheel out and remove plastic inner fender shield. It comes right out from there. Its easier to break and tighten the bolts through there for me anyway. Its about a 4 hour job for me.
