Aviation fuel ?

On a car forum I frequent, someone used a very high octane fuel and it basically runined his engine. I'm not sure what the octane rating is for aviation fuel, but if it's above 100, I'd be careful.

Why is my first question, second, it won't help you in any way, may do more bad than good. using more octane can cause carbon buildup in the combustion chambers. The higher the octane the slower the burn rate

The engine on my light sport aircraft is set up for automotive pump gas, 87+ octane. I can use av gas, if It's all I can get, it' still leaded, and will cause a deposit buildup. And if you drive on the street, legally you can't put anything in your tank unless a fuel tax is paid.

it would be a total waste of your money. there is no need for it and actually no benefit either. Av-gas is designed to run in a plane with a air-cooled motor with low compression. most piston-driven aircraft cruise at 3,000 maybe 3500 rpms or so, the burn rate of aviation gas is much too slow for any high performance automotive applications."
