No jet fuel is light diesel AV gas is gas 30 years ago it was 115/130 octane lower now.
But to run that kind of octane you need a real high compression engine

Run Union 76 Purple or Trick Racing Fuel if you want the octane. But if you don't have the compression ratio (usually 12:1 and more) to take advantage of it, you're wasting your money. You only need as much octane as is necessary to keep the engine from pinging. Anything more than that is a complete waste of money.

your motor has to be set up to run it, just like if you were going from leaded gas to unlead . motor work and the heads would have to have some stuff done to it to run it all the time and the pipes would smell bad and have silve looking stuff on it .

If you want to find fuel to improve performance, contact VP fuels, they make all kinds of specialty fuels. I know they have some formulas for Motorcycles as well.

The turbo prop engines I work with use mostly JP-5 but depending on deployed conditions can use JP-4 and JP-8 and its never mixed with any oil on our birds.

As for using avgas in an engine I also ask why. Its not going to get you any more power and you're going to be paying a lot more. Also I believe its illegal to sell avgas to your average joe.

Years ago it was 115/145, clear purple in color, used in all Military reciprocating (piston) engines. Needed due to most of those engines were supercharged up to 52 + inches of pressure for Military Emergency power or Combat Emergency power (sea level pressure is about 30 inches.) This quickly raises combustion pressures and temperatures to the point of detonation if lower octane fuels were to be used. The 115/145 designation is a "Performance Number", meaning it represents the equivalant of an Octane rating of 115 for lean setting and 145 for a rich setting of the air/fuel mixture. Theoretically, an Octane rating greater than 100 is chemically not possible, ergo the "Performance Numbers".
JP-4 was essentially kerosene mixed with some gasoline.
JP-5 and Civilian Jet-A are refined kereosene, no gasoline. It is not diesel.
Today's civilian AvGas is 100 Octane Low Lead (100LL). It contains lead, used as an octane booster and valve seat lubricant. It is illegal for use in street applications. Using it will destroy those expensive catalytic convertors in your street car. It will do nothing to improve the performance of your engine unless it is a high compression unit that needs a high octane fuel.
