Gap between upper swingarm and pulley

Default Gap between upper swingarm and pulley
After replacing my pulley with a chrome one and using harleys chrome tapered spacers, when I torque the axle nut, the gap between the upper swingarm and the pulley is too small. I mean like 1/32"... any idea what that gap should be?

Is your new pulley the same size as the old? You might need a pulley spacer if it is not the same.

Well i'm a dumbass..Wrong part #. I didn't realize they made a couple of different pulleys for softails the same years. Mines about 1/4" thinner than the one I bought from the Chrome Plater. So I'm off to Ebay to sell this one. Live and learn.
