Default Need help for my sunday project!!!

Bought the Arlen Ness # 06-087, the fairing that goes around the headlight, i know it says your supposed to make custom mounts to fit the bike, but i held it up just to see last night and it doesnt even look close.
Has anyone put it on their train? pictures would be very helpful!

BTW: Its going on a 2004 Fxstb with factory bars.

I have put one on an FXR. You will have to do some work there. I know that one had brackets on with it. Also with the head light you are going to have to push it forward to make it flush. Ness makes a block or can get creative and make your own. Also do a search there was a train with one a little while back.

i cant find a picture anywhere with a train with the fairing, i can move the headlight forward, but the fairing seems to hit the bars wayyy to much?

What kind of bars you have? May have to adjust brackets, or change bars. May have to trim the fairing.

May have to cut some notches in the fairing to clear the bars or consider new bars for the bike. I have seen them where the cut some curved notches that don't look to bad that allow the fairing to set back closer to the forks.

sounds like a plan, but you have seen where they have used the factory bars?
