For some reason I love the bones without a rear fender but without the front fender it just looks too goofy for me. The forks are just too skinny to run without something in there. I think the small fender they have is perfect but some bikes look nice without front or rear fenders.

daz76 - I thought it was impossible to move the ECM behind the battery. After reading many other posts, I decided it was worth another stab at it. I cut all of the zip ties, removed all of the bolts in the battery box, wiggled and pulled wires for about an hour, I managed to move the ECM behind the battery. Originally I mounted the plug on the side. This put the cooling fins against the battery. After reading other posts, I realized that by placing the plug at the top, the ECM would face to the rear, with the cooling fins to exposed. Much better. Hope that helps. Good luck.

Hhhmmm, I'm gonna look into that. I'd rather not put a tool bag there if I can put the ECM somewhere else. Do you have any pictures? I'd like the see a visual if possible. Thanks for the tip.

Hey Darren C, bike looks great. 2 questions man, what rear fender is that and where did you get the heat wrap? Can't seem to find that color.

Im going to try to get some black leather like what runs down the tank and continue on with it under the cover. I try not to ride in the rain if I know a storm is coming but now I can honestly say I cant ride in the rain. Dont want any electrical gremlins to pop up.

My next issue is rear turn signals.
Maybe put some thin rudder in between so if you do get caught in the rain it'll better protect it from the water if it soaks though the leather.
I just made some brackets tonight so I can mount my turn signals. I'll be mounting them between the struts and frame, I'm using Auto-Gems Mini Bullets. I"ll be doing that next weekend, along with relocating the front headlight.

It's a Rolands Sands Tracker fender and struts (part #710-122) and the heat wrap is COOL IT Thermo Tech , light brown (part #450-305). I got both at J&P cycles.

I wish i could rip the rear fender off. Every time that I take it off to do some work to it Its a struggle to put it back on. This is a little mock up that i found kinda close to what is ideal (for me)

Interesting! Not sure how that fender is attached. Looks like the front fender strut, but there must be another point of attachment. Kool idea though!
