I pulled the plastic off and have yet to find something to remove the excess. Ihope a good buff will get the scratches out that I put in it. Alcohol and GooGone don't work. Any ideas?

And another reason why I haven't pulled my plastic off yet. Plus I occassionally ride two up and have to put the passenger seat back on.

Yeah GooGone has abrasives in it. It will scratch paint if you rub too hard. FWIW

I used that stuff when i peeled that plastic tape off and my rear reflectors. It left a haze on my black paint. My brain was about to burst! lol.... So after i calmed down i went and purchased some "Meguiars scratch X" and used my foam pad buffing wheel on my drill and everything shined up back to PERFECT.

Also when i get burnt shoe marks or whatever on my exhaust pipes i use the "Meguiars scratch X" and foam pad/drill and everything comes off quick and easy. It doesn't scratch chrome one bit. I've done this many many times.... When my buddies see how good this works.... they trip out on how well/fast/easy it works.

I added a new color on the bike and welded all the holes shut. And customized the passenger seat with 8 suction cups works great.

Fender bib. I also put some of the small black hole inserts in the 3 holes so no water would get under the bib.

I have it set up so my passenger seat will fit even with the bib on the fender, so no scratches on the fender it'self.

My plastic was gone days after I bought my bike. I guess I was lucky, mine peeled right off, and nothing was left on to get off.

Just as a note, I bought my Buttcrack used that came off a Fatboy. I wanted to make sure it fit by Deluxe, so I emailed Danny Gray. They recommended a different seat made especially for the Deluxe and emailed the photo below. I bought the used seat anyway and got it to fit just fine.

DB Buttcrack for the Deluxe. Notice it's a little longer in the back to cover the unused seat mounting holes.
