Those are cool but i dont dig how it doesnt tuck in a lil.
Yea, I agree. If it just came in at the bottom about 2" it would be good.
I also agree that it will shake more, but not like an older model.
If it was a tin, you could mod it a bit, but it's not so ya kinda have to live with the look. For someone to mod my existing tins w/ paint $1000 front and rear. I decided I want to keep my stock tins.
So to have someone make em without existing tins $2,500 front and rear. Which is what I want, but don't have the $ right now.
Rick, I want you to put it on your sled first and post pic and comments lol.
For the money It really is a good deal, I just don't know if I could get over it not being EXACTLY what I want? I'm pondering the idea though.
$890 for the fender painted to match my bike. Hmmm...
Still waiting to hear back on whether they will fill in and smooth over the indentation for the tail light and any holes I don't need before painting, and how much extra that'll be.
Of course it will. Same rear-end as all other Softies w/200 tire. I've seen plenty of Xbones with a Fatty fender installed and it looks friggin' SICK! One example:
...all the more so with the extended fender installed.
bobber, I thought of that. I believe the 200 rear fatboy fenders have a recessed portion for the taillight. I wonder how thick you could fill it before having to worry about cracking.
I asked Dragonfly if they would fill in the tail light indentation and holes I didn't need, but they won't. They said the would paint-match the fender to my stock colors, but any further customization would require that the bike be brought to the shop. They won't customize the fender and they won't ship internationally via USPS. No exceptions.
Should I find a local shop in the vicinity (Anaheim, CA) to do the customization and then have it taken back to Dragonfly for the paint? Or should I just accept the fender with the recess and put the stock tail light on it? Really want to keep the fender (if I go extended) clean of the tail light and license plate, but it sounds like I'm going to need to lay down a lot of coin and go thru too much hassle to get it done...ideas and options, fellas, I'm all open!
