Default Barebacks or Bubbas on '07 Heritage...

I want to add QR to my stock saddle bags. Has anyone used either the Barebacks or Bubbas on a Heritage? Which one keeps the bags closest to the fender? How do they use the strut that bolts to the rubber bumper near the passenger peg?

Thanks,
Jim

I use the Bubbas for my 06. Have pictures in my album. I like them alot. Also went with the gotsaggybags.com to keep them from sagging. Got the package from bubbs to make the sissy bar QR too.

I've got barebacks on a fatboy. I swear by them. No problem.

How do you attach them after they are installed? Is it a screw through the saddle bag? Does it require a tool to install/remove them? How about the strut that attaches to the rubber bumper near the passenger peg, how does that work?

How far away from the fender strut do the barebacks put the bags?

Tried checking out Bubba's Brake website and it seems they are revamping it. I'm in the market for detachable saddlebags.

I have barebacks on my Heritage. I am mostly happy with them but I believe the Bubbas are a bit nicer but more $

Heres a pic showing the studs with the chrome caps on them. The bags sit out about 1" from struts which looks pretty good. It allowed me to install this rear turn signal bar without having them hit bags. At the bumper area you have to screw another 1" bumber ontop of the existing one.

Go with the Bubbas set up. The bags will be almost (1/8in) up against the fender struts. They use a thumb screw through the bags to sesure to the strut and the lower support hooks over the foot peg mount, no bolts.

The quality is great and both Jim or Casey at Bubbas are very good to work with.

Ditto on the Bubbas system. I got them for the bags and the sissy bar. Also the saggybags kit for the bags. Pricy but worth the money IMO.
