I ride a 06 Heritage and want to replace stock seat with one with a backrest.I have looked at Corbin, Mustang, HD Signature and Sundowner. Like some advice on what you feel is best. Will replace back pillow also. Thanks
Unless you are really unhappy with your seat, you can add a backrest.
It took a little futzing but I got it right for me.

I have the Mustang Wide Solo with backrest. That seat, with highway pegs, allows me to sit back and relax....ride all day. When new, the seat was pretty hard so it took a good 500 miles to break it in. Now that it's broken in and conforms to my butt....yeah, very nice.
Plus, IMHO only....I love the look of the solo seat, backrest, fender and tank bib.
If you are comfortable sitting on the stock seat, a less expensive option would be to install a bag on the passenger seat. I have the Kuryakyn GranTour bag on mine, but there are other brands out there.
I have to agree with Joe Diver, the Mustang wide solo with backrest has to be the most comfortable combination I have ever used. The backrest is adjustable and removable. After 400 or so miles, I am still quite comfortable. The seat is pricey, but you will probably find that any good seat is not cheap.
It appears their site is "on hold for inventory", but this is where I got a backrest for my 08 Heritage. I waited years to find one, because I didn't want to give up the comfort of my stock seat (or the nostalgic look).
C&C also makes a really nice solo seat with a backrest. It is not inexpensive, but quite comfy. I run one without the backrest, but if the need ever arises I will be adding a C&C backrest to mine.
FLSTC with Mustang Wide(I think) Solo with adjustable back rest from D. Kirk at good price. Easily the best mod I've done. Greatly improves comfort and lenght of ride ability.
I have the Corbin Dual Touring on my FLSTN. Comfortable and versitile. I have one backrest for it. I can use it in the forward position (solo), install it in the rear slot for 2-up, or leave it off. It only takes a minute or so to change it.
Quality and design is top notch, nice heavy leather too.
