Mine is EFI. I've never had any problem with it. I have a PCIII on it.

 

Heres my 2003 it has a carb as well And I love the bike! I would take the carb over EFI anyday....If the carb is setup just right they run great for many many years....

 

 

 

 

I have 3 friends who just got new harleys and went to EFI. I asked all 3 ...well whats better carb or EFI? All 3 told me they do like the efi but if they had a choice the carb was better and they told me why in the own ways

 

Some of the things were

1. idles to fast..sounds funny
2. hard to fix'
3. only harley can fix bike
4. a bitch to add pipes - for the cost
5. and a few had trouble with fuel pumps
