i need help with changing tillight lense questions!

Default i need help with changing tillight lense questions!
a friend of mine has a 2011 fatboy 'we are trying to change out the kense to an aftermarket lense with blue dot
my question is how do we do this
the new lense is just a lense when we take the stock one off all the guts are stuck in the old one and the foam is glued
does he need new guts to go in the new lense or can we rip the old stuff out and glue it in the new one?

The "guts" should be reusable... you may have to buy new foam.

The lens comes off with two screws. Replace the lens with the new one and screw back in. the guts are attached to the fender.

when we took the two screws out the guts are like plastic welded into the stock lense we just noticed that thanks for the replies
