I have a 2005 Softail Deluxe that I want to replace the disc pads on.There are so many choices and options it has become a little confusing.I would like to find a pad with the least amount of dust as possible.Does anyone have any positive experience with a cleaner low dust pad that wont kill my braking performance.Thank you.
Lyndall Z-pad is about the best your going to find for a stock caliper setup.
They brake better with lower dust than nearly any others out.
EBC is supposed to be good, but there have been mixed reviews with them.
But people may be mixing apples and oranges with the different pad compounds that are offered.
Lyndall z plus or gold are the way to go. They last forever and are "dustless". I have had the same set in the front of my bike for nearly 30K miles and there is still meat left on them. And, I use my front brake almost exclusively to stop. You can get them here. These are a must for people who run whitewalls as the extremely minimal amount of dust keeps your WWW clean. http://www.drvtwin.com/eshopprod_cat...BRAKE_PADS.htm
EBC or original for me. Lots of people like the Lyndall but I could never get a set that did not squeak. They even sent another pair but they were not any better. Installed a new rotor but that did not help put a new set from the dealership on and no more squeak.
