I'm ready to start some MODS on my 2005 Deluxe. Not real experienced turning a wrench but I've done some (change my fluids, etc.)
Here's the plan
1. Install chrome fork lowers using Hill Country Customs Fork Legs
2. Install chrome fork uppers HD 45963-97.
3. Replace stock switch housings with Hill Country Customs chrome switch
housings.
4. Install Handle Bar Reservoir Cover kit HD46098-98 (can't afford a chrome
master cylinder at this time).
5. Replace throttle and clutch cables and break lines with HD braided lines.
Any advise, words of wisdom or help is very much appreciated. Anything else i should consider while i'm into this project.
make sure you have a manual or experienced buddies and BEER.take yur time and you should do just fine
+1. Also, I'd take a good look at the Magnum braided lines. They make HD's for the MOCO, but I think their version looks better. Contact Dr. V-Twin on this forum for more info. He set me up well.
You're doing a lot of control work with quite a few parts from HCC. Have you thought about dealing with them on a handlebar kit, with controls and all cables, brake lines, etc.?
