Found a 2008 Night Train (Crimson Red) with 2500 miles on it at a local dealer. They originally wanted 16,900 for it talked them down to 13,900. It is bone stock other than a sissy bar and pad.
Just working on the details on my Yamaha I am trading in.
I wouldnt pay that high for a used bike personally but some will probably tell you the shot gun shocks alone make it worth the money, I say it depends on if your really happy with the mods that are on it, cuz thats whats jacking the price way up!! (me i have no desire for shotgun shocks and i think the black out themes over rated so I'd save thousands and pass that one up)
Happy with all the mods but the fender. That has been almost a deal breaker for me. Most likely why I haven't moved on it. The price was 1K higher they just dropped it.
Still shopping around haven't gone in to negotiate with them on this bike yet. Will give it another month of looking for other bikes.
Sounds a little high to me also, ESPECIALLY if you dont like the fender on it.
I would hit craigslist and find a better deal myself. I understand they're not making Trains new, but I think that was MSRP on my brand new '07.
I'd say you should be able to find something for between 10-13G's. Take the difference and spend a thousand for a new shotfun shock setup if you have to have it.
Couple posts down from yours ('06 Train?), $9,000 5246 miles.
Not trying to disuade you if it sings to you, if so then go for it and enjoy every minute. Just saying there are ALOT of smoking deals out there on craigslist.

Good luck and ride safe!
+1 on that. There are some hungry people out there selling bikes and taking huge losses. If I knew then what I know now...buy used and make it what you want for the savings!!!!
only hard part is finding a train on craigslist for cheap, here in oklahoma, you can do a search and they are few and far between and people know that they don't make them anymore so thats gonna jack up the price. Dealerships are going to be the same way in a sense with rare or specialty bikes, i would just hold off and wait to you find some desperate guy in need of quick cash and then you'll get the steal!
