Default Another fender question

Ok I got the rear fender picked out, now for the front. Can anyone tell me what the width of the mounting area is for the front fender on a 2011 Fatboy. I'm looking at the Russ Wernimont Rambler fender with a 18 inch wheel.

what width are you talking about?

Overall width of the fender itself? Or space between mounting brackets?

I'm trying to order a Russ Wernimont Rambler fender and the width sizes are 5.5 and 6.25 When I measured the fender at the dealership it thought it was 7 inches wide???

I don't have my fender removed. So the best I can do is a guesstimate.

But I am reading right at 6 1/2 inches. Hope it helps...

My front tire is a 140mm so the 5.5 inch one is out for sure.

The 6.25 might be the one. Like I said, I have a tape measure floating above the fender trying to look down and eyeball it up.

Let me look around in the 2011 Softail Manual....it may be in there somewhere.

I thumbed through the service manual. Couldn't find anything that mentioned front fender width or clearance.

But I can tell you the gross weight of the bike

The mounting brackets are exactly 6.5" wide.
