Its a D2S bixenon projector, and a Denso ballast. I had to fit the ballast inside the Nacelle, otherwise, I would have had to cut away a large part of the headlight casing to get all the wiring through. Powered with a direct line to the battery and relayed to the headlight switch. Light output is 100x better than the stock halogen bulb.
I never put a ballast inside of an enclosed headlight bucket. I have seen other friends such as Motowheels in CA do it and 100% lead to the ballast turning off due to extreme heat build up. Every HID manufacturer I have ever dealt with plainly specify the heat range the ballast will operate in. Inside of a Nacelle is fine but not in a bucket.
