See pic of my 2006 FLSTFI rear fender, I'm using the Harley Brawler solo seat.
I want to install a solo rack, but as you can see from the pic, my bike doesn't have the pillion seat mounting pegs that the 2007&up Fatboys seem to have.
When I read the descriptions and see the pics of solo racks that supposedly fit the 2006 FatBoy, they see to require these pillion mounts. eg. The following from Motherwell:
The ones you posted fit 07 and newer Fatboys. Have you looked around dennis kirk? I would also try to google "fatboy rack" then click on the images tab. There are lots of pictures of what other guys have done.
They do make a detachable rack, I do not care for it.
check this link to HD. This solo rack will fit , but you neet to buy the hardware kit to mount it. Also may have to ge the rear turn signal relocation kit to clear the rack.
Milwaukee Twins rack from JP Cycles, ~$40 a couple years ago. I think similar ones are on eBay. It mounts on the fender strut bolts and top fender screw.
