Thanks, and I think the black is the way to go...gotta find some cheaper black peg mounts....

I just ordered the Black Harley Engine Guards for my Bike from House of Harley. Saw a guy drop his Fatboy Lo against a curb at the Petro truck stop in Eloy,AZ yesterday afternoon. It fell to the right and dammaged his brake pedel (he had forward controls), Brake lever, Air cleaner and Gas tank. $$$$ so I was thinking about it and thought I could get past the looks and take out a little insurance. Now to find some nice black highway peg clamps.

I had one on my 08, I thought it looked a little weird until I dumped it practicing 20 ft u-turn. Then it looked much better

Just got the "moustache" chrome one from HD the other day for my '05 Fatboy. Looks pretty nice but the built in area for highway riding really doesn't feel right to me; may have to get pegs on it anyway but I'll try to get used to it first. Here's to never needing to use the "guard" part of it!
