Default Deluxe chrome fork legs

How long does it take to remove the forks from a Deluxe, Remove wheel, and forks, and is it a hard job?. i've seen some fork legs for sale and i'm going to buy them and have them chromed, I figure I might be able to remove them, and reinstall them, but I'll get a mate to strip and rebuild them.

You may come out cheaper to just buy some already chromed for Ebay. The install isnt too hard, you just have to pay attention to detail. Also, if your gonna do any mods, like 21'' up front or air ride or you just wanna lower the bike. You may wanna look into a progressive drop in front. You can go ahead and lower it, since your gonna already have it apart. Also, if your deciding to put on bars, apes, chubby's, whatever, you may want to put in some poly bushings also. Might as well kill 2 or 3 birds with one stone.

Problem is I'm in UK and there isnt many chromed ones for sale,
At the moment I'm happy to keep it with 16'' wheels, also not sure about lowering it as it touches down too easily already,

It takes about an hour to remove the fork legs. I hope you have a lift.
