burnout lowering bolt kit

I have the burnout bolt kit for lowering the rear of my 05 night train. I haven't installed it yet just want to make sure that when I lower it with these bolts is it going to mess anything up . Like belt or will tire rub on inner fender? Many people say the bike is equipped with bump stops ,but I am not sure what this is.
