I like the vance and hines pipes, would rather replace than using slip ons...
Getting parts for the bones is pretty easy, A lot of stuff that fits newer softails will fit your bike.
EBAY is a great place to get used stuff - some of it is like new, because someone just took it off a new bike.
There is a classified site here as well, some good deals but you usually have to be pretty fast to ****** them up...
Congrats on the bike. First thing is that if you like it loud slip on's wont cut it. They will get louder than stock but not what your looking for. Second is the O2 sensor, if you run a power commander you will be able to reprogram your fuel injection to run without O2 sensors. Without that you cant just unplug them. Good luck, post some pics as you get them!

There are nubmerous choices and ways to go about setting your bike up. IF you are just going to add pipes you can do that. If you wish to change the air filter as well I recommend a tuner along with the pipes and air cleaner. This will net you a little bit more power as well.
I suggest looking at bikes with different pipes in the softball picture section and figure out what kind of look you want first. Once you have settled on a look we can help you find a good set of pipes.
I can get you anything at a discount as well so once you figure it out drop me a line.
So if i just change pipes for now and no breather/intake change i will not have to unplug the sensor and just swap pipes and be done?
I was told just changing the pipes on the bike it will not have to be remaped or need a programmer..Correct?
Budget is just hammered at the moment..Like i said seats are in line before intake and programmer
thanks
If you only change the pipes, you do not need a power commander/fuel pak. If you change the air cleaner/intake, you're altering the air/fuel mixture and that is what the PC compensates for.
If you want loud as sin, buy a full set of pipes, and take the baffles out.
Depending on the pipes you run you should probably save up to do the air filter and programmer at the same time. Pipes i'm running are rhinehart crossbacks, hopefully a couple harley techs will chime in about the programmer i'm not sure how much it really effects the fuel injected bikes.
If you change pipes go all the way! Get a full exhaust you like, a high flow air cleaner set-up, and Power Commander. Vendors on this site can cut you deals and really wakes up the V-twin. Contact Jamie at Fuel moto once the pipes are chosen and he will get you a price quote for the Power Commander and Air Cleaner. Very good people to work with and so easy to install a Caveman could do it! My bike pulls hard and was plug and ride! Congrats on the new ride.
