If you are on a budget, slip-ons, or even a baffle change, will get you by for the time being. I went with Rush slip-ons for a few reasons. But, in your case, all I need to say was that it gave me that umph I needed in sound quality. No slip-on will give you so much noise that you can set off car alarms. And, it is advised that you resist that urge. But if you want LOUD, you need a baffle-less full system. But, also, if this is the route you choose, it is typically best to wait until you can do the A/C and tuner at the same time.
So, if budget IS a concern, I'd strongly recommend changing the mufflers, or just the baffles, for the time being. It is a cheap alternative that can improve the exhaust note drastically.
going to get the pix up today..sorry..had to ride yesterday....thanks for all the info..taking it all in..
also is never dull my best option for trying to polish up things such as the primary covers etc?
Where the bike has sat for a while the shine is definatley gone..looks hazy!
I am definately going to get a full header back set..with removeable baffles..may take em out or leave em in...
WILL I BE SATISFIED WITH RUSH CROSSOVERS?
Something I learned is dont rush doing anything. I got my bike and two months later had already changed a bunch of things. Now it has been almost 2 years and I am about to change half of the things I had done to it. Do not rush!! That is my 2 cents.
