Default Pulley width question

My 07 deuce has a 1" wide belt. The pulley hog pro sent me is measuring 1-1/8" on the inside teeth area. Is this right? Should the belt be more snug in there? I already sold my stock wheel and pulley so I can't look at that. The thing that worries me is older deuces had a 1-1/8" belt. I hope hey didn't send me the wrong one!!

Can anyone measure their pulley/belt and tell me the difference.. Mine has an 1/8" difference between the pulley and belt.. is that normal? or too much?

wrong belt... the belt should not have "wiggle room"... what width is the drive pulley? Maybe your new pulley is the wrong size?!

I am starting to think it is. If I got to Dennis Kirk and plug in an 07 deuce. Pulleys are 1". Any other deuce yr is coming up 1-1/8". Looks like I get to return a SECOND PULLEY. And wait yet again for the right one. Not a happy customer right now. Considering it is already on the damn bike. Hog pro better be compensating me for this BS.

Never assume that the parts guy got it right. Check, check and recheck. Check?

Hog pro says it's the right size. They are sending a smaller pulley spacer since the belt is too far out toward the swingarm. It's real tight that direction and there's plenty of space between tire/belt.

Your belt/pulley are safety parts. Make sure you have the correct ones. Last thing I heard from my wheel/tire/pulley supplier, the width of the pulley and belt MUST be the same. Better safe than sorry.

They said it's the standard size for the 1" belt bikes. And it's normal to be slightly wider than the belt. I will take their word for it. They are the pros.

It is normal fir the pulley to be a little wider than the belt. Go look at any stock Harley and roll the front wheel forward and backwards with it on the lift and you will see it has space to track to the right and left a little. And...never trust a parts guy. LOL. I think I need a shirt that says that since I am a part guy.
