OK , I removed bars, took off fork cap/nut.( want to add some spacer to raise the bike a little..progressive lowering kit is installed in bike ) too low for me
no spring ?? do I have to remove the front headlight tin ?
Or what ?? never had em apart before ..too old to learn the hard way ..so I,m asking..
p.s. would trade lowering kit for stock parts

Order the manual and carefully follow the procedures outlined. My opinion - removing the front springs should only be done with each fork tube removed from the bike.
Pull the lowers off the forks to get o the springs and such on a an fl softail front end. An fx is different. They can just drop everything in the top, the lucky guys.
