Hi All,
Went to the dealer yesterday to visit and buy some more "goodies" for my 2011 Fatboy. Weather is still too crappy to pick it up around here. Anyway, I've never had a bike with heel and toe shifters before and want to give it a try. It just seems odd that my size twelve foot just fits between the shifters. Anybody with a larger foot OK with the stock shifters or should I go longer? Since this new to me I'd just like ideas on the setup. Thanks!
Way more comfortable than over/under single peg shifted. Easier on your shoes too. Try it out for a while....see how it goes.
If OEM shift levers are too short...I'm sure you can get a/m longer levers. They are also easy to machine and make a set custom for you. Any decent sized city with a good machine shop can make you one ... a longer copy of an OEM lever.
Mine lasted one day. On the ride home from the dealer. My pant leg got caught on my heal shifter and i almost went down at a stop light due to my leg not being able to touch the gound.
Came off before i could even shut the bike off. lol

i have the heel toe set up. i do not use it except for putting the bike in neutral it works very good for me doing it that way
I wear a size 13 and have a heel/toe shifter. I typically use the toe portion only...just feels more comfortable to me. My father in law has the heel/toe on his fatboy and uses the heel for upshifts.
Just a tap on the heel peg and she goes right into neutral everytime. ...and it's nice to have a stomp with my heel every now and again as I'm running through the gears. Don't leave home without it.
I wear a size 13 and I have pegs and not boards with a heel/toe shifter. Doesn't bother me at all. And I started on dirt bikes then sport bikes doesn't take long to get use to it.
The day I bought my Fatboy, I rode it right home and took the heel shifter off (its still in the spare parts box).. I didnt like the fact that when I wasnt shifting, I was unable to use a majority of the floor board. I prefer just the toe shifter, and I dont care about what it does to my boot, thats what they make shoe polish for.
