Damn didn't realize ur scoot was a classic. Ya seat post is super structural on them bad boys. Can't wait for the pics, bad thing about twinkies is everything is so crammed in there it almost gets lost.
Been a slow process finding the time to work on it recently. Between the kids lacrosse and football camps it's been hectic then throw work on top of it and well.....you know the story...
BUT, got finished fabbing it all up. Modified the rear tank bracket, new isolator mounts, and installed rear LED in fender and wired up ready to install. Only thing that's left to do is fab up some sort of battery hold down seeing this tank didn't come with any provisions...then drop it all off to the coater!
Anyone know of a replacement starter where the positive stud is on the plastic connector side? In other words right now my only issue is that the stud in the current location will be wedged under the tank. Just not digging the idea of the tank vibrating on top of the terminal.
Here is a picture of what the stock set-up looks like:
If the stud was located next to the plug it would be perfect but i'm not having any luck finding an aftermarket one in the configuration I need.
Try to find a starter/alternator rebuild shop. I found one by asking our local Napa parts house. Then have them fab a dog leg to the position that best suits your needs. It would be a copper plate that relocates your positive terminal. Good luck.
