Just got my tank. Looks good. Nice quality. I know some on here have removed their seat posts, and coil mounts. My coil mount is not blocking the install but the 2 rear tabs on the tank are which I will cut off. I just can't get enough rotation to align it so that it looks right.
Plus the mounts they give you are kinda useless.
Anyone else care to share their install along with pix?
I'd totally appreciate it!
I uploaded a couple of pix in my gallery for you to see.
Well I whacked off the 2 rear mounting tabs which will make it line up much better but the bracket they supply you with to mount it underneath leaves alot to be desired... Right now if I mock it up the left side, which is the wide side mount fits perfectly. But the right side aligns itself up with the inside of the stock mount instead of the outside where you would have plenty of room to mount the rubber isolator.
The issue is that from the factory there is a welded nut for the isolator on the inside. What I have planned is to fab up another mount to replace the stock one which will allow me to pass through the stud on the isolator to mount.
