Mods Completed with rating - Easy to Not so Much
Shotgun Shock - Gotta go with a 2.0. The key is take your time and check how everything is fitting frequently. Tapping transmission holes = 2. Mounting compressor = 2.5. Tight fit, frequent adjustments for fitment. Wire routing =1. You definitely want a floor jack under rear tire. That helps a ton.
Chrome low profile dash console = 1. Nice directions. Very easy mod. Looks great. *To note - LePera Bare Bones seat is not a good fit with the dash. The dash sits up high and there is no way to get tab underneath the seat to slide into receptacle with seat on top of the dash console without some minor adjustments. Choices are to bend the tab down a little (what I did), fabricate and mount different metal piece to bottom of seat, or perhaps cut out console around tip of seat. Bonus is the front of the seat pitches up a little higher which creates an even steeper slammed look with the ShotgunShock.
Moving front signal lights to forks - 2.0. I got the kuryakyn adaptor studs, but I dont recommend it. It has a 5/16 side and a 3/8 side. After having done this, I dont know what the 3/8 side is for. My bullets and fork screw holes are both 5/16. Ended up tapping out bullet lights to 3/8 to use the adaptor. If I did again, I would just get a 5/16 all thread and cut to length. Cheaper way to go.
Chrome swingarm cover by Kuryakyn. Give it a 1. Directions arent the best, but the thing is pretty self explanatory. 90% of it will only fit one way and the cutouts to get around various factory mounted parts on the bike are a dead giveaway to where it should go.
Chrome flushmount gas tank caps. Pretty easy one give it a 2 for wire splicing. Directions are very good on this one. Right side a breeze, just make sure to place the bezel where the gaps are less noticeable. I really didnt have gaps so I lucked out. Left side requires cutting wires from left side under tank to pull out old unit. You get a new connector with the kit. **Pay close attention to placement of the wires on the old unit. It is a 4 hole connector with only three wires so make sure you connect wires into correct holes on new connector.
Polished rotors would give it a 1, but any time I have to take off the rear tire it is a real PIA for me. Hate that.
Lyndall Brakes =1
Black clutch and brake levers = 2 Pretty easy stuff. I did manage to break both retaining clip rings at the bottom of the pin that holds levers in place. *Careful with brake lever. Put a piece of cardboard in between or youll run the risk of the dreaded breaking of the brake light switch. The switch is easily seen after getting old lever off.
Thunderstar chrome Belt pulley = 1. Again, removing back tire blows!!!
Other little stuff nor worth mentioning. If anyone has gotten this far by now they are probably bored to death anyway. Maybe something will help somebody, I dont know.
Will post pics when I get all the grease and grime cleaned off of everything. Bike looks like it was humped by a half dozen monkeys or something. It is a greasy Biaatch right now!
