Unhappy Auxiliary lighting

I'm installing the Auxiliary light kit on my 2007 FXST. Got as far as installing non-terminating wire into yellow low beam wire. It says I have to use the Blue Scotchlock electrical connector to splice the two wires. I'm a little lost at this point as the diagram does not show exactly wat to do from the directions. Please help!

I think what the instructions are saying........they want you to crimp the two wires together? Are there a couple wire crimps in the kit? They would look like the picture in the link below.

first check your headlight wiring harness down under the front left side of your tank some models have the yellow already in the harness with a rubber boot on the end so it wont contact anything..i installed spots and mine did not but the heading i switched to came with a harness and the yellow was there.if you look at the wiring schematic for your bike it will show the different headlight harnesses for each specific model.if not you can always solder it to the yellow inside the headlight
good luck let us how it went

If you splice in the wire donot use a scotchlock solder the wire and heat shrink it. Scotchlocks damage the wire and allow corrosion to start thru the wire

I second that. Do Not use the scothlock. They are very well known for wiggling loose and causing more problems than they are worth. Take the time and splice them together w/ solder and shrink wrap. Just my 2 cents, but I speak from experience.

Thanks for the advice guys, got her done as you said. Now I have to remove the pins from the Amp Multilock connector for the turn signals. It tells me the tools I need (pin removal tool, socket removal tool) but I was wondering if that's even necessary.
